SAMSON COMPLETES GREATER GREEN RIVER BASIN ACQUISITION
Tulsa, Oklahoma (October 2, 2002) – Samson Investment Company, Tulsa, Oklahoma today announced the purchase of natural gas properties in Sweetwater County, Wyoming for $40 Million. The interest was acquired from EnerVest Energy, L.P. and EnerVest Operating, L.L.C.
In addition to existing production, the properties contain numerous behind pipe and drilling locations on the approximately 55,535 acres of leasehold. This acquisition is very synergistic with Samson’s expansion in the Rockies which is focused primarily in the Greater Green River and Uinta Basins.
